After creating an agile Southern Leopard Frog as my first rigged 3D model, I later repurposed it to study 3D printing and animation.
“Leopard Frog Leap” is an animated demo I produced December 6, 2021 as my very first 3D animation. Created in Autodesk Maya and edited in Adobe Premiere Pro, it highlights the natural behavior and jump cycle of the local Southern Leopard Frog (Lithobates sphenocephalus). By updating my rigged model of the species and carefully studying frog jump motions, I explored just how graceful and fluid the motions of real frogs may be.
